Looking for a birthday idea, family outing, group activity, or just something different and fun? Come be a goat farmer for an hour at Farm on The Lake.
This is a playful hands-on farm experience where you feed goats, meet the little ones, learn how we care for the herd, and help with simple farm tasks that feel more like fun than chores. Kids get to feel like real little farmers, grown-ups get fresh air and goat therapy, and the goats get the attention they absolutely believe they deserve.
From April to July, this experience becomes extra special during kidding season. Depending on timing, guests may get to see newborn baby goats, bottle feed little ones, play with the babies, and possibly even witness a live birth.
Of course, goats do not follow a calendar or take requests, so baby goat moments and live births can never be guaranteed but during this season, the chances for extra-cute farm magic are at their best.

What You'll Do During Your Goat Farmer Hour (1 hour)
15 min: Meet the Goats & Learn the Basics
Start with a warm welcome, quick safety chat, and an introduction to the goats. You’ll learn who’s who in the herd, how we care for them, and what makes goat life so fun and unpredictable.
30 min: Hands-On Goat Farmer Time
This is the main fun part. Help with light farm tasks like feeding, watering, checking on the herd, and caring for the goats. During kidding season, this may also include meeting baby goats, bottle feeding little ones, or helping around the nursery area.
15 min: Play, Photos & Goat Goodbyes
Enjoy relaxed time with the goats, ask questions, take family photos, and let the kids soak in their final moments as little goat farmers before saying goodbye to their new furry friends
